He claims he is the best in the world. The funny thing about that is you have to back that up in the ring and win.

CM Punk has done so, and as of right now he is the hottest commodity in WWE and in line for an amazing ride to the top of the mountain.

You wanted change? You got it. You wanted a Superstar out of the ordinary? You got one.

The Straight-Edge Superstar is on his way. He has what it takes and to rule the world you need to be at the top of your game...

He Is One of the Top Favorites on the Roster

This past Monday on RAW I was astonished when his theme music started...the crowd was on fire!

WOW! 

I attended a recent Live show in Ottawa in September and the same thing happened—people just went nuts! 

Both his themes are catchy too whether it be "Cult of Personality" or "This Fire Burns" so upon hearing the first note, we know who is coming and we are ready.

He built up his character all by himself and went from face to heel to tweener and now a definite fan favorite. Nice work for a guy who doesn't have the Cena/Batista physique or the pretty-boy Orton face.

You can count me in as a real fan CM Punk. I'm no face guy usually but now...I am hooked!

His Merchandise Sells Like Hot Cakes

What is the bottom line in this business?

Yes, we need to be entertained but WWE also has to make money. That all important money.

John Cena and Rey Mysterio had the monopoly of sales and for a time, Jeff Hardy was right up there a few years ago but now we have a new top seller.

CM Punk has been such an important character over the last few months his merchandise sales have surpassed even those of the Chain Gang leader. I believe this to be one of the reasons Vince McMahon has green-lit the Straightedge Superstar's push into space.

Can you really be surprised? His "Best in the World" T-Shirt looks great and fits great too...I know! Let's not even begin to talk about those ice cream bars.

I simply must sink my fangs into one of those. 

When He Drops a Pipe Bomb Everyone Listens

This week, CM Punk totally destroyed Alberto Del Rio on the mic. In doing so, I fear he may have undone all the work put into the WWE Champion who hasn't managed to click with the WWE Universe so far.

Can you blame Del Rio? He just came out of a feud with John Cena and his character took quite a hit from that.

No matter, CM Punk has been on fire ever since he laid that "Pipe Bomb" earlier this summer. This and the fact he took the championship and fled...we just wanted more more more!

There was one man I can remember that did the exact same thing years ago...Stone Cold Steve Austin. We all paid attention when he took the microphone didn't we?

To when a face-off between the two?

The WWE Championship Will Return to Him Soon

We've all heard the rumors: CM Punk will feud with Alberto Del Rio and eventually win the WWE championship and carry it into WrestleMania XXVIII.

That is a rumor and we have yet to see if it will become reality.

Let's hope so! 

Putting the title on Punk will make next year's Mania even better and that means one other great match to look forward to.

We will have The Rock taking on John Cena and then some poor unfortunate soul trying to destroy The Undertaker's amazing undefeated streak and finally the WWE championship match.

Since Punk is one of the most beloved Superstars it would seem right he should have the honor of being the champion or at least fighting for it no?

Here's a suggestion:

WWE Champion CM Punk versus World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry, winner takes all and unifies both titles...finally!

We Need Him as the WWE Champion Because...

...he would help restore the lost luster of the greatest prize in sports-entertainment. The WWE championship dates back to 1963 and has since been devaluated to the point of it being a hot potato and that is unacceptable!

It insults the great champions of the past, their legacy, the prestige of the title, the fans who love it and the company itself as it is a representation of their majesty.

CM Punk would most certainly be the one to also rid us of that horrible, gaudy piece of garbage we are subjected to every week. I am referring to the "Spinner" championship built in order to represent John Cena and his rapper gimmick.

That time is over and the time for something new is upon us. CM Punk has stated how he loves the "Winged-Eagle" title belt but it wouldn't have to be this exact one.

Perhaps a remodel as Cody Rhodes did when he restored the Intercontinental title to its former glory?

We will see.

CM Punk Matches Are a Success

It doesn't matter who it is against because when CM Punk enters the ring for a match, you are guaranteed it is going to be good.

The WWE Universe has complained time and again about Cena, Orton, Miz and those like them not delivering the goods and being repetitive. 

Being in a match with Punk forces anyone to step up his game and go over it step by step. I was very impressed personally with John Cena every second of both the Money In The Bank and SummerSlam matches. That was an excellent showing on both occasions.

You can tell CM Punk is a master of his craft, all that detail...not many Superstars have that luxury nowadays.

He Is Dating the Divas Champion

Say what you will about her but I think CM Punk is a very lucky man. Beth Phoenix is breathtaking. 

Is there any truth to rumors stating Amy Dumas a.k.a Lita has been cozying up to Punk lately? I don't know but I am beginning to think this is an angle to get her back in the WWE and involved in the Divas of Doom storyline.

CM Punk could have any girl he wants but he fell for the Glamazon and as Divas Champion, she is the best of the best right now.

He is definitely at the top of his game. All that remains for him to rule the world is to add the WWE championship to his already amazing list of conquests.

Main-Eventing WrestleMania Is on the Way

What do we have to look forward to next April at WrestleMania XXVIII?

The Rock/Cena match, The Streak and the WWE title.

Let's start the voting now. We want CM Punk in the main event taking on somebody of great importance for the WWE championship.

If he is champion, I wonder who will win the Royal Rumble this year and if he isn't, can he be the one to win?

Such good questions with an obvious answer...how can he NOT be in the main event next year? That is just crazy.

He is one of the hottest things going. It is time to capitalize on that now!

Vince McMahon Was Proven Wrong

When you are a genius, you tend to think you are always right and your ego cannot allow you to accept mistakes.

Mr. McMahon was wrong about CM Punk.

He couldn't understand the hype for such a "small" guy and passed on him a few times until this past summer when the Straightedge Superstar blew a gasket and release all that emotion on Live television.

CM Punk had us all eating out of his hand and we seemed to have found our new hero. Still not convinced, VKM tried to screw him during his match against John Cena at MITB and failed again.

This time it cost him. He was forced to step down and let Triple H run things (kayfabe).

The "little" guy barked louder than the big dog and showed him he could do it and so CM Punk is now one of, if not the, best seller in WWE as we speak.

For that, he deserves to be at the top.

CM Punk Defeated John Cena Clean Twice!

Never mind how many other times it may have happened on free television. The only times it really mattered was when the stakes were at their highest.

CM Punk defeated John Cena for the WWE championship at two separate Pay Per View events and he did it in a clean fashion...1-2-3 and with no belt shots to the head or low blows.

That is something very few, if any, people have done in the last few years. 

Let's not start saying he has Cena's number because that would come back to haunt you but they both definitely gave it their all in these matches and the better man won. Simple as that.

Somewhere down the line, another match between them would be what I want to see but in a whole other way: CM Punk (face) versus John Cena (heel) for the title.

That scenario up there would be a brand new way to impress the pants off of us fans and actually accept a loss of Punk to Cena for a championship.

Am I right?

Who Will Dispute His Claim of Being the Best in the World?

He has been around for quite some time now in WWE but is it wrong to think it feels like it has only just begun for CM Punk?

Not easy claiming to be the best in the world, you better have the skills and guts to back it up. There may be some ready to beat it out of you but then again, if you are the best, no problem.

Is the best in the world ready to take on the best in the world at what he does? Can he open a can of whoop'ass on an S.O.B?

The future is not yet written but we can all hope the best in yet to come for CM Punk, the Straightedge Superstar, who is on top of the world right now.
