TNA: Can Someone Please Promise Me Fireworks on Tonight's Impact Wrestling?
If anyone hasn't noticed, there are three days until the next TNA PPV event Turning Point.
And if you are like me, you get the sense this PPV is going to bomb and maybe set the company back a few hundred months.
I'm not saying this will happen, but there is no real push or hype or anything and most of that has to do with the state of the TNA World Title, which is moving from wrestler to wrestler at a faster rate than the WWE right now, which is not a good thing.
Let's hope the title can stay on Bobby Roode for a while, or at least until Thanksgiving.
Now that I have gone back and watched how Roode won the title a few times, I see it was a good ending to a match where one man who was desperate to become a champion overcame him, which led to his "turn" on his best friend, James Storm. Funny how that happens in wrestling at great rates.
We need to see more of a buildup to the PPV. We need to see Velvet Sky go at Gail Kim when the two meet in a tag-team match. Giving Kim the title too easily won't work, unless Karen Jarrett really is building a stable with Madison Rayne and Kim and maybe one other female wrestler.
Do I hear Mickie James? I think that could happen. I also think at some point Angelina Love reunites with Velvet.
Reunited and it feels so good!
We need to see some more jousting between Matt Morgan and Crimson, who by the way, came off as the "heel" in the segment last week.
We need to see more Austin Aries. Hell, we don't need a reason for that, just get him on the damn screen.
And we need to know what is going to happen with Eric and Garrett Bischoff so we can end this dilemma already and rid ourselves of a bad WCW angle.
But the biggest question is who will face Roode for the title? If James Storm is injury like it is reported and out of action for six weeks, who takes over as the top contender and who will face the new champion?
A.J. Styles is hurt and may not compete. I don't see Kazarian jumping into the mix. Maybe a Pope? Maybe Jeff Hardy, but that is unlikely since he is feuding with Jeff Jarrett and has formed an alliance with Mr. Anderson.
Oh, by the way, news flash! I bet the mystery partner tonight in the six-man tag match on the side of Hardy and Anderson is Abyss. Sorry to spoil that for you.
But if there is a PPV to be had and too many questions going into said PPV with now resolution in sight, it could affect the dynamics of the TNA title and those who compete for other titles around it.
And for heaven's sake, let Storm have his say and hopefully let the fireworks begin.
