Betting Line: Arkansas by 14 (via USA Today)
Arkansas has scored 37.7 points per game this season and against a weak Tennessee defense there is certainly a chance the Razorbacks cover the spread. This is the SEC though and most games are quite competitive.
Key Storyline
The Razorbacks have a great chance to make a BCS bowl game and with a win against Tennessee they will improve their record to 9-1 and 5-1 in the SEC. An upset loss to the Volunteers would ruin the Razorbacks' chances at a BCS bowl.
Who Might Not Play for Arkansas
Mitch Smothers (offensive tackle) is questionable for Saturday's game against Tennessee with an undisclosed injury.
Who Might Not Play for Tennessee
Tyler Bray (quarterback) will not play this week with a thumb injury
BCS/Top 25 Implications
Arkansas is well positioned to get a BCS bowl berth if they win out and some teams ahead of them in the BCS standings loses. Oklahoma State and Oklahoma are both ahead of the Razorbacks in the current BCS standings, and they play each other on December 3.
Arkansas has to beat Tennessee if they want to keep their successful season going and remain in the top 10 of the polls.
Arkansas Player To Watch
Quarterback Tyler Wilson is a very good player and will certainly be a player to watch this Saturday because he leads the eighth-ranked passing offense in the nation, one that is averaging 318.7 passing yards per game.
Tennessee Player To Watch
Wide receiver Da'Rick Rogers has 50 receptions for 780 yards receiving this season, and the Razorbacks will have to make sure they have him covered well at all times.
Key Matchup
The Tennessee secondary has to play well on Saturday for them to have a chance at an upset. If they can cover the Razorbacks receivers well it will make the defensive line's job of getting pressure on quarterback Tyler Wilson a little bit easier.
On the Hot Seat
Tennessee coach Derek Dooley has had a terrible season this year, and with another loss on Saturday the Volunteers would fall to 4-6 (0-6 SEC) on the season. That is unacceptable at Tennessee.
Prediction: Arkansas wins 38-13
Arkansas' passing offense led by Wilson will be a way too much for the Tennessee defense to handle, and the Razorbacks will get another SEC win to improve to 9-1 on the season.
