Who Wants to Hear Terrell Owens Complain? Apparently, You

Here's the thing.  I don't believe T.O. cares about Jason Witten...getting the ball thrown to him, that is.

All this talk about T.O. getting out of line again is absurd.  I didn’t like T.O. before.  I don’t really like him now. 

But the fact of the matter is that T.O. understands football, and the pass underneath to the tight end is sometimes the most reliable.

The flat is going to be open more often than a star receiver is, and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is going to try to do what’s best for his team.  Romo isn’t overlooking T.O.

And here’s the kicker, T.O. knows it.

He might have said something, but this site blew it out of proportion.  So did this one.  And this one.

I’m not upset with the media, it’s their job to find the most intriguing story and run with it.  T.O. is a volatile player, and has had problems with people throwing him the ball before.  But as Trent Dilfer is pointing out on ESPN, it’s whether he continues lashing out.

I think when you’re a future Hall of Famer, you can complain a little bit, but you have to know your limits.  For T.O., that was his limit.  For the rest of his career.  But back to the point at hand.

The media blows things out of proportion, because it’s a business.  I want all of you to read that again, and officially get over it.  It doesn’t matter what you think, if you’ll read it, they’ll print it.  Or publish it.

He wasn’t really complaining, he was just letting off steam.  Everyone does it.  Remember the last time you complained about your job that you like, you were doing the exact same thing.

I’m not a Cowboys fan, I’m not a T.O. lover, but I am a realist.  T.O. was complaining about his job to the wrong people.  Plain and simple.  He has a good relationship with Romo to an outsider.  He has a relationship with Witten that isn’t bad to an outsider.  So why do we keep reading?!

I’m part of the problem, because I sort of want T.O. to be a hothead.  I’m a hothead.  I like hotheads.  So I read when he complains.

Regardless of what is actually going on, nobody is really going to know (even if you know someone that’s REALLY good friends with T.O. or not, you don’t know). 

All that matters is that you Cowboys fans get to go to sleep tonight knowing you beat the Giants.  Beyond that, just realize that unless T.O. is playing his heart out for your team, and pretend that everything else was just a nightmare.
