Week 10 Fantasy Rankings: Ranking the 5 Best QBs

Zach KruseNov 8, 2011

The following five quarterbacks are the top fantasy options in Week 10 of the NFL season.

1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers

Through eight games, Rodgers has proven that putting him anywhere but No. 1 on any fantasy projection list for quarterbacks just doesn't add up.

No matter whom he faces, Rodgers just continues to put up historically great numbers. Against a Vikings secondary he torched a couple weeks ago, Rodgers should again have another big game on Monday night.

2. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

From a purely yardage standpoint, Brees is the top fantasy option.

With 258 more yards in Week 9, Brees became the first passer in NFL history to throw for 3,000 yards in his team's first nine games. And while the Falcons have been good against the pass in recent weeks, Brees should be a good bet for a big day in the Georgia Dome.

3. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers

People will undervalue Roethlisberger this week, mostly because the Bengals have been much improved against the pass in 2011.

However, they've been beaten at times over the last couple of weeks, and Roethlisberger is playing as well right now as he ever has.

I think Big Ben could have another huge game statistically when the AFC's No. 1 seed comes to Pittsburgh this weekend.

4. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers

Any fantasy projection list in 2011 has to have Newton on it, and I love his matchup this week against the Titans.

The stats look decent for Tennessee against quarterbacks (17th against in 2011), but they've given up a lot of fantasy points over the past couple of weeks. With his ability to score touchdowns from close, Newton is a top five fantasy quarterback from here on out.

5. Tim Tebow, Denver Broncos

It pains me to have him in the top five, but how can you leave him out? Even his worst performances from a quarterbacking standpoint can deliver big fantasy results.

Having Willis McGahee backs helps a bunch too, as the offense really lacked a playmaker without him two weeks ago.

With Tebow's ability to run the football, all he needs is a couple of lucky scores against a Kansas City defense to find him in the top five at week's end.
