NFL Power Rankings Week 10: Heat Check for League's Hottest Teams
The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers continued their rolls on Sunday in Week 9, as each team won to extend its winning streak.
The Packers snuck by the San Diego Chargers 45-38 to improve to 8-0 and Aaron Rodgers and his offense are as hot as ever.
This weekend Rodgers improved his already impressive passing numbers on the season by completing 21 of 26 passes for 247 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. Those touchdowns also went to four different receivers.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
For the year, Rodgers has completed 192 of 265 passes (72.5 percent) for 2,619 yards with 24 touchdowns and just three interceptions. His league-best quarterback rating of 129.1 is 28.5 points higher than that of Drew Brees (100.6) who occupies second place.
Until someone figures out a way to stop Rodgers and Green Bay's prolific offense, I don't see the team losing.
The San Francisco 49ers are almost as hot as Rodgers and company, as they reeled off their sixth straight win on Sunday with a 19-11 victory over the Washington Redskins. The 49ers are now 7-1 and have a stranglehold on the top spot in the NFC West.
Jim Harbaugh is easily the odds-on favorite to be the NFL's coach of the year this season as he has turned around a moribund franchise's fortunes by instilling toughness and a hard-nosed attitude in his team.
The 49ers have won the old fashioned way, by running the ball and stopping the run. San Francisco currently has the NFL's best run defense, allowing just 70.8 yards per game. Meanwhile the 49ers also have the league's sixth-best rushing offense, racking up 137.6 yards per game.
Harbaugh's defense is also allowing a league-low 14.8 points per game. Football is a pretty simple game, you can't lose if your opponent can't score and the 49ers have demonstrated that so far this season.
As long as they are defending the run like they have so far and keeping opponents out of the end zone at this rate, I expect the 49ers to stay this hot and keep winning.
