Random Thoughts on the TUF 8 Finale

While watching The Ultimate fighter Finale last night on Spike, I was impressed by a few fighters, and unimpressed with some performances (in my Georges St. Pierre voice). But all in all, I was entertained. Here are some random thoughts on the event.

Was it just me or did Junie Browning impress? Just like I said in my "What to expect" article.''

Dave Kaplan must have a chin on him; it looked like he was getting hit pretty hard. i'm glad he lost though, his music really sucked!

Ryan Bader proved me wrong, and looked good doing it. Congrats, Darth Bader, great music.

Vinny, what the hell happened? I was so mad at him, I thought he'd do better.

Rumble Johnson is a beast, that kick was monstrous. Shin to chin, always a recipe for a highlight-reel KO.

K. Burns, you should've lost last time; this just proves that.

Jason, what the hell, man? You got BEASTED! It's official, he's a gatekeeper, a very low-grade gatekeeper.

Wilson, nice work, glad to have you back! A couple more wins like this and you could get some serious attention.

Krzysztof, you looked average, you disappointed me. You won, but your opponent wasn't supposed to make it past the first round! C'mon bro! Maybe a Bader/Soszynski fight is next?

Shane Primm actually made it two rounds, congrats!

Elliot Marshall really looked good last night, but then again he was facing a guy I forgot was even on the show for a minute.

Finally, Efrain really look good last night, and maybe in a few years could really be a contender.

On the flip side, Phillipe disappointed me, I thought he was destined for greatness! He still might be, but needs to improve a lot, definitely not the next GSP or Anderson Silva. He may be the next Stephan Bonnar.....

Off the subject, congrats to Bobby Lashley for winning his first fight in just 41 seconds! But if he faces Brock Lesnar at any point, I'll be pissed off! This isn't WWE, and no matter who wins, people will think it was fixed!

This card was good, didn't have the fireworks that UFN 16 did, but it was still good. The fights were closer and didn't end in stretchers!

Junie Browning should fight Phillipe Nover next; everyone wanted to see that also.

Elliot Marshall should fight Stephan Bonnar, just because....

Wilson Gouveia should fight Goran Reljic again; it did win fight of the night once.
