Jerry Sandusky: Listen to Penn State Alum Kim Jones Slam PSU over Scandal

After the news broke on Monday that former Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky was facing charges of sexually abusing young boys while at the university, Penn State grad Kim Jones came out and blasted the school on New York City-based WFAN.

Jones, a reporter for New York Yankees on the YES Network, has a great deal of connections at Penn State, and she was quick to talk about the ins-and-outs of Penn State while discussing the allegations with WFAN's Mike Francesa.

In the radio segment, Jones talked about Sandusky's "child-like" demeanor and said he was always around young boys.

She also hinted that longtime head coach Joe Paterno knew about what Sandusky was up to, given Sandusky was allegedly allowed into a close practice with a young child in 2007.

Jones breaks up at one point, shocked that Paterno would keep the information to himself for so many years.

Said Jones, "I cannot believe the Joe Paterno that we have come to know and that I covered, I cannot believe that his heart is that black."

Keep in mind, the alleged victims were young boys looking for a father figure at the university, and Sandusky took them under his wing before allegedly sexually assaulting them. There was even an instance in which receivers coach Mike McQueary allegedly witnessed Sandusky sexually assaulting a boy in the locker room shower of a Penn State facility in 2002.

For Jones, the news must have been even more appalling given she had been around Penn State for so many years, even as a Nittany Lions beat reporter. You can actually hear her tremble at points in the radio broadcast.

One thing's for sure: we are lucky to have someone connected to Penn State so revealing of information.
