NFL Power Rankings: 3 Teams Gaining the Most Momentum
If you can get momentum rolling in the NFL, you'll gain confidence and give opponents a reason to fear.
With that in mind, here are three teams who have gained the most momentum in recent weeks.
Baltimore Ravens (6-2)

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Ravens may have lost on the road to Jacksonville, but we're learning that the Jaguars just play very well at home. Though it looked as if Baltimore had carried their poor play from the Jacksonville loss into their home game versus Arizona, the Ravens managed to pull out a win.
The Cardinals jumped out to what seemed to be an insurmountable lead, but the Ravens made a dramatic comeback and brought that momentum rolling into Pittsburgh. There, the Ravens stole a big divisional win over the Steelers and swept the season series.
The remainder of Baltimore's schedule is not very difficult, either. Only games against Cincinnati (twice) and San Francisco appear to be challenging for the Ravens. Thus by season's end, I expect Baltimore to be the AFC's No. 1 seed in the postseason.
Houston Texans (6-3)
After their 3-1 start the Texans lost two straight games. It looked as if the injuries to WR Andre Johnson and LB Mario Williams were going to ruin the season.
However, Houston regathered themselves. The Texans have won three straight games and have yet to go through their bye week. They face the Buccaneers this week in Tampa (which is never easy).
Expect the Texans to win.
It's not going to be a blowout, but Houston's Top 10 defense will continue to dominate against the rush and pass, and their own ground game will continue to roll, setting up the passing game nicely.
By season's end the Texans could be neck-and-neck with the Ravens for the AFC's No.1 seed. Their remaining schedule won't appear nearly as difficult once Andre Johnson suits back up.
New Orleans Saints (6-3)
Perhaps the road loss to St. Louis in Week 8 was the shock that the Saints needed. After demolishing the Colts 62-7, New Orleans was stunned by the Rams, but quickly responded with a home win over Tampa Bay.
This week the Saints play the Falcons in Atlanta—a great test because "The Big Easy" has struggled on the road. That said, even if New Orleans falls, they have a bye the following week, giving them ample time to prepare for Week 12 and beyond.
The Saints don't often take long to get back into rhythm. Perhaps that's because Drew Brees and company never really lose it in the first place.
