NFL Power Rankings Week 10: Teams That Will Redeem Themselves After Tough Losses

Alex KayNov 7, 2011

Week 9 of the NFL season saw some of the top teams in the power rankings take some brutal losses and subsequently drop down a bit.

Fortunately for the teams and their fans, they will have a chance to redeem themselves this coming week with a big win that will without a doubt have them move up a few spots and gain some dignity back.

Let’s take a look at these squads that will win this week and salvage their power rankings standing.

New England Patriots

The Pats have lost two straight games now and desperately need to get a win this week.

They play their most heated rival, the New York Jets, on Sunday Night Football and will beat a team that is closing in on them in the rankings. The Jets, along with the Bills, are with for the AFC East lead with the Patriots.

New England is going to win the division and they will stop their free fall this week with a solid win.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh was coming off a big win and had all the momentum in the world going into last night’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

As you probably know, the Steelers lost by three in a very physical game that could have easily gone either way.

That loss meant their biggest rival swept them and they won’t soon forget that. They have a chance to get back into the AFC North race next week against the Bengals on the road.

I expect the Steelers to pull out all the stops and just dominate in order to get themselves back on their feet.

Buffalo Bills

Buffalo relinquished control of the AFC East with a terrible game against the New York Jets last week.

They have a chance to redeem themselves against an overrated Dallas Cowboys team in Week 10.

Buffalo is still a very strong contender in the playoff race but it will be between them and the Jets for the Wild Card, as I don’t believe New England will continue to fail.
