Pacquiao vs. Marquez: Manny Will KO Marquez, Erase Doubts from Earlier Bouts
Manny Pacquiao is sick and tired of Juan Manuel Marquez talking nonsense about how he was the rightful winner of their first two boxing matches.
Pacquiao and Marquez fought to a draw back in 2004 and Pacquiao won the “Unfinished Business” rematch in 2008 with the judges scoring the fight 115-112 Pacquiao, 115-112 Marquez, 114-113 Pacquiao.
I can understand why Marquez feels he could have easily won both fights after tying and losing by a single point to a man that most feel is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the entire world right now.
Marquez should have kept his mouth shut after those fights because he has motivated Manny to knock him right out in this third fight.
The two have not fought in over three years and Pacquiao has dramatically improved as a fighter in that time.
Pac-Man has beaten Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Antonio Margarito and Shane Mosley, among others, in his undefeated romp through the top boxers in the world since that 2008 fight with Marquez.
Now, Pacquiao is training to knock Marquez out to end any doubts that he is the best fighter. He wants no part of the judges deciding this fight and leaving the door open for Juan Manuel to run his mouth after.
Trainer Freddie Roach is telling Pacquiao that he should attack Marquez in the first round and knock him out during that round.
Pacquiao obviously has no problem with this. Roach said this is the most motivated he has ever seen his fighter and pointed out that Pac-Man has only taken two days off during the eight weeks they have trained together.
With Pacquiao so motivated, so jacked and so ready to "kill" Marquez, I have no doubt that is exactly what he is going to do.
