WWE News: WWE Studios Costing Vince McMahon a Lot of Money
A good businessman knows a bad investment when he sees one, and of course, Vince McMahon is a good businessman.
Thus, it looks like the WWE boss is going to have decide if and/or when he’ll cut his losses with WWE Studios because the company’s film division isn’t exactly raking in the dough.

"The studio division alone saw revenue plummet 51 percent to $3.7 million due to poor B.O. and home-video sales.
The company's WWE Studios division took a $5.1 million writedown from three films, "Knucklehead," "The Chaperone" and "Inside Out," during the period that ended Sept. 30, dragging down overall results for WWE, which saw revenue fall 9.5 percent to $108 million and profits drop 26.1 percent to $10.6 million.
As a result, WWE's chairman and CEO Vince McMahon said the company was going to "monitor and refine to improve future performance" of the film business.

There’s a really simple explanation for all of this: WWE Studios sucks.
You know when you go to a party, there’s a really obnoxious drunk girl there and you keep saying to yourself how much better it would be if she just left?
Yeah, well that’s how I feel about WWE Studios.
The WWE’s film division just doesn’t know what the people want to see. We don’t want to see John Cena starring in an endless amount of crappy movies or Ted DiBiase as the main character in the second installment of a movie series that couldn’t even get it right with the first one.
We want to see actual actors or even wrestlers who are good actors do just that: act. I don’t know what you would call what Cena and Triple H do, but it isn’t acting.
And I don’t know what you would call the people who come up with the scripts for these WWE films, but it’s not good writers.
WWE Studios either needs to completely reinvent itself, or just call it quits.
There is no in between.
