Week 10 Waiver Wire Pickups: Roy Helu and 3 Potential Studs to Add
Believe it or not, there are still diamonds in the rough to be found for your fantasy football teams. Injuries and a number of other reasons are opening doors for players to blow up who didn’t receive an early opportunity. This past week, the following players looked used to the spotlight.
Here are three Week 10 waiver-wire pickups that could be studs:
3. WR Jacoby Ford, Oakland Raiders

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Jacoby Ford has struggled with injuries all season and now healthy, he’s found a quarterback that can get him the football. Against the Denver Broncos, he caught five balls for 105 yards and a touchdown.
Ford has the ability to be the Oakland Raiders' primary option through the air. Most projected him to be a strong performer this year, even "DeSean Jackson Jr.," and he’s finally broken out.
2. QB Carson Palmer, Oakland Raiders
Carson Palmer put up 332 yards and three touchdowns in just his second game with the Raiders. Sure, it was against the Broncos, but he definitely showed improvement from his last outing. If it weren’t for three interceptions, he would’ve been a Player of the Week candidate.
If Palmer continues to progress, he should develop into a solid fantasy option by the end of the year. And there’s no way the Raiders will be resting him the final weeks of the season, that’s for sure.
1. RB Roy Helu, Washington Redskins
Roy Helu isn’t simply the product of a good matchup. Against the strong San Francisco 49ers defense, Helu rushed for 41 yards on 10 carries and added 14 catches for 105 yards in the passing game.
With Tim Hightower out for the year for the Washington Redskins, Helu could turn into a workhorse. You know the 'Skins aren’t winning ball games with their quarterback being the focal point of the offense. Helu could end up doing what Hightower was supposed to do this season and more.
