Rex Ryan Video: Watch Jets HC Snub Brian Schottenheimer of a Pound After TD

The New York Jets are reasserting their dominance on the AFC East by beating the Buffalo Bills, but there is a serious lack of love going on after touchdowns.

Jets head coach Rex Ryan is always jovial, but he left his offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer out to dry on Sunday.

After the team scored a touchdown, Ryan was congratulating his coaching staff when Schotty gets his fist ready for a nice pound, but come up empty.

I don’t know if Ryan didn’t see him or just was tired of pounding his fist, but Schotty had to pull his hand back to not look like a fool. The move happened so fast that it was almost missed by the people watching the game, and it was even hard for me to see.

But once I saw the snub, I had to howl with laughter at Schotty's shame.

These are the times where I’m so glad that the NFL has sold its soul to the corporate world because we have a million cameras at every turn.

It’s so funny to see the look on Schotty’s face when he realizes the love wasn’t reciprocated and he pulls his hand back so fast it is not perceivable by everyone.

You have to be trained in the awkward arts to catch something as odd as this.

The win over the Bills has to feel almost as good to the Jets as this snub feels to fans of sheer silliness.
