Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3: Pacman Will Have No Trouble Disposing of Marquez

Andrew KulhaNov 6, 2011

There is absolutely no reason to doubt the fact that Manny Pacquiao is going to destroy Juan Manuel Marquez.

In fact, if Pacquiao doesn't handily win this bout it could be considered more of a moral loss than anything, especially with Floyd Mayweather apparently barking up his tree yet again.

I know that all that matters in sports is wins and losses, and many people say that there is no such thing as a moral victory.

I do believe that there is such a thing as a bad win though, and that's exactly what Pacquiao is facing if he isn't able to dispose of Marquez.

That being said, I don't think he's going to have a problem.

Pacquiao is the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world. Marquez is a crafty veteran no doubt, but he doesn't hold a candle to Pacquiao.

Not only is Pacquiao the far better fighter, but he has a ton of motivation coming into this fight, being that it is Round 3 between the two fighters.

Arash Markazi of ESPN reports more on Pacquiao's mindset:

"

Manny Pacquiao is normally mild-mannered when it comes to addressing future fights and opponents, but he admits he wants to thoroughly beat Juan Manuel Marquez when the two fight Nov. 12 in Las Vegas and leave no doubt he is the best pound-for-pound fighter.

Pacquiao said he's been looking forward to this fight ever since Marquez wore a shirt which read, "Marquez Beat Pacquiao Twice!!" last November after defeating Michael Katsidis to retain his lightweight titles. Pacquiao defeated Marquez by a split decision in 2008, and their first fight in 2004 ended in a draw.

"He's been claiming that he's won the last two fights," Pacquiao said. "I need to go in and end all these issues. This fight will be the answer to all the doubts and all the issues he's been screaming for."

"

If I were Marquez I would be extremely worried about this upcoming bout. Pacquiao is not a fighter that needs any added motivation to thoroughly beat an opponent, but now he has it.

If this was a bout between the two fighters coming in just on their talent only, Pacquiao would still have an exceptional edge, but now he's got something to fan his flame.

Not only does Pacquiao want to rectify the past two fights with Marquez, but he is undoubtedly thinking and preparing for a potential bout with Floyd Mayweather that is looming over everyone's shoulders.

If Pacquio doesn't thoroughly beat Marquez there will be an issue.

I don't see him having any problems, though.
