WWE Rumors: Mick Foley Wants to Wrestle the Miz in WWE?

The title seems a little strange, but it may be a great move.

In a recent interview, Mick Foley said he would like to wrestle The Miz if he returns to the ring. Of course, it would take place in WWE should said match actually take place.

For those interested, it is a great 20 minute video. Foley is very honest about his "quality" of matches in 2011 (2012?) and beyond, as well as his recent return to the company.

Mick vs. Miz sure seems intriguing on paper. The Miz is the rising heel in WWE, while Foley is the aging veteran who is still "hanging on" past his prime.

While he never mentions a specific time, one would think a WrestleMania match has to be in Mick's plans. I suppose a return earlier or later could occur, but most would assume he would want to return to the ring at Mania.

This all seems very similar to 2006, if you ask me. Edge was the star on the rise and despite just winning the WWE title, it was clear that he was not "officially" a main eventer yet. After his match with Mick at WrestleMania XXII, he was there!

That could be the exact same scenario here. I am trying to stay away from "fantasy booking," but the outcome is obvious. Mike "The Miz" Mizanin beats Foley in a match at WrestleMania clean, looks like a million bucks and continues to represent WWE as a top name.

It's that simple.

As I mentioned above, Foley knows his limitations these days. He is not promising any five-star classics or anything even close to it. However, his mic skills are as strong as ever.

You know who else strives on the microphone? The Miz! Again, the feud writes itself. The only question is if the stars are correctly aligning for this to actually happen.
