Week 9 Fantasy Football Rankings: Tim Tebow and QBs You Must Bench
Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is one of several quarterbacks you must bench on your fantasy football team this week.
Bad matchups, injuries and a poor supporting cast are all reasons to bench quarterbacks, even stars. Let's look at three quarterback you would be foolish to start in Week 9 of the NFL season.
1. Colt McCoy

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Colt McCoy is a decent quarterback, but he will struggle to find success on Sunday against the talented Houston Texans pass defense.
McCoy has thrown for 1,619 yards this season with nine touchdowns. With no reliable rushing attack to help him and the likelihood that running back Peyton Hillis will not play due to injury, McCoy will struggle to carry a lackluster Browns offense by himself.
Don't start McCoy this week on your fantasy team, his matchup against the Texans is not a good one and he does not have enough quality offensive weapons at his disposal.
2. Joe Flacco
Joe Flacco started the season off very well in a 35-7 Week 1 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he has been quite inconsistent recently.
Against the Steelers in Week 9, Flacco will not be effective. The Steelers held New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to just 17 points last week, and boast the NFL's best passing defense.
Flacco is completing just 53 percent of his passes this season, and in the last three games, he has thrown only one touchdown and three interceptions.
If you start one quarterback in your league each week, find someone with a better matchup who is more reliable than Flacco.
3. Tim Tebow
Tim Tebow was sacked seven times last week by the Detroit Lions front seven, and against a talented Oakland Raiders pass rush in Week 9, the Broncos quarterback will continue to struggle.
Tebow is completing just 43.7 percent of his passes and has not looked comfortable in the pocket. He is not worth starting this week because he won't rack up enough yards or touchdowns to carry your fantasy team to victory.
