Week 9 Fantasy Football Projections: Matt Forte and Star RB's Who Will Shine

Mick AkersNov 5, 2011

Running backs haven't been the most reliable fantasy players this year and figuring out who will star in any given week has been a test.

Here are Matt Forte and two other running backs who will rack up big time points for their owners in Week 9.

Arian Foster, Houston Texans

After being hampered by injury early on in the season, Houston Texans running back Arian Foster has been great the past two weeks, racking up 358 total yards and four touchdowns.

Look for Foster to have his third 100-yard rushing game in a row this week as he will run all over the 26th ranked Cleveland Browns defense.

Expect Foster to compile around 170 total yards and two touchdowns this week against the Browns.

Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore has been on a tear over the last four games he has played in.

He has four-straight 100-yard rushing games and has scored a touchdown in each of those four games.

Expect Gore to continue that trend this week against the Washington Redskins and their rushing defense that allows an average of 121 yards per game.

Gore should run for around 130 yards and a touchdown, pushing his streak of consecutive games with 100 yards and a score to five.

Matt Forte, Chicago Bears

Matt Forte will be the only effective offense for the Chicago Bears against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.

The Eagles have shown they are weak against the run and Forte will be a star in an otherwise struggle-filled game for the Bears.

Look for Forte to rush for around 125 yards and score two big touchdowns for the Bears this week.
