Pacquiao vs Marquez: Pac-Man's Straight Right Hand Will Be Marquez' Undoing
Things are different, yet the outcome will be similar in this the third fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. In the first fight, Pacquiao's power stunned Marquez in the first round, dropping him three times. Marquez gathered his footing and dominated the rest of the fight.
In their rematch, Marquez went blow for blow with Pacquiao; he especially shined as a counter-puncher. One major factor on Saturday, November 11th will be weight. The previous two fights took place at 125lbs and 130lbs.
Marquez has been among the world's best in and around this weight range, but in his only fight above 140lbs, Marquez looked terrible.
Granted, it was against Floyd Mayweather, and he has made plenty of fighters look bad in his career; still it was the way Marquez looked bad. He looked slow, and as though he had a problem getting off.
That will be deadly against Pacquiao, especially since he has depended on counter-punching to combat Pac-man's onslaught. Pacquiao's straight right hand will dominate the fight. It will batter Marquez and the weight will not allow him to counter effectively.
Marquez will find that trading with Pacquiao at this weight class will be too much to endure and he will be stopped in this fight. Marquez wants to be in the same class as Mayweather and Pacquiao and he may be, at 135 pounds, but not at welterweight.
Expect to see Pacquiao win by an impressive TKO between six to eight rounds.
