Arizona Cardinals to Start John Skelton Against Rams
John Skelton will be behind center for the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, and should he have a successful day fans will no doubt be clamoring for Skelton to start the following game as well.
Considering that the Cardinals are playing the 1-6 Rams, a team that is just as bad as them, there is a very likely chance that Skelton plays well.
Regardless of how well Skelton plays, Kevin Kolb will be the Cardinals starter the rest of the season as long as he is healthy.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Kolb is the future of the team, and the Cardinals will go only as far as he is able to take them. He needs to have every snap that he can get to gain experience and develop chemistry with Larry Fitzgerald and the rest of the offense.
Even if there is a feeling that John Skelton is the better option in the short run and gives the Cardinals the best chance to win, nothing can be gained by him starting additional games.
For the Cardinals, every win is now a loss.
Right now the Cardinals are one of the bottom four teams in the NFL, the Rams are another. Who ever loses the game on Sunday will be, at worst, in line for the No. 3 pick. The winner will be tied with five other teams for the fourth-through-eighth picks.
It is a bizarro world that the Cardinals are in where every loss counts.
Perhaps sometime next season the team does make John Skelton the full time starter if things don’t improve, but right now there is too much invested in Kevin Kolb to not try and develop him into the best possible quarterback that he can be.
There are some very good quarterbacks playing in the league who started out very average. The Cardinals are banking on Kevin Kolb being one of them.
