Will Brodus Clay Join WWE Ranks of Other Great Big Men or Will He Fall Flat?
Andre the Giant, Big John Studd and Haystacks Calhoun: What do these three men have in common? They are all legends in the wrestling business and they were all larger than life—literally.
The wrestling world is different than it used to be in the '70s and '80s. It is no longer the land of bodybuilders and giants, but that does not mean they are not around.
Today's WWE roster still has its share of huge superstars. Mark Henry and Big Show are currently the two biggest guys on the roster, but they may have to make room for a newcomer soon.

Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Brodus Clay first showed up as a contestant on NXT. After Alberto Del Rio brought him over to SmackDown, Del Rio was drafted to Raw and Clay was left without a direction.
He was taken off TV and used in dark matches over the next few months to see how he would fit into the future of WWE.
Management must have seen something in him because now he is getting the video package treatment. WWE looks to be pushing Brodus right out of the gates this time.
The video package that has been playing over the last few weeks (which can be viewed above) has portrayed Brodus Clay as an intense individual who is very violent and very dangerous.
This kind of technique is a good way to push a new superstar. Alberto Del Rio also got the video package introduction for months before finally appearing on SmackDown, and now he is WWE champion, so the technique has its upsides.
Someone else who got the same treatment was Kizarney and we all know how that one turned out so the use of video packages does not always work.
Brodus has a unique look to him that kind of reminds me of a modern-day King Kong Bundy. Bundy did not have the Mohawk and tattoos but he had the same size and attire with the same intense attitude.
If he is pushed properly and makes improvements in the ring I think he could be a major force to be reckoned with in the WWE.
I was always disappointed at the way WWE ruined Umaga's character while he was still with the company, and I had high hopes of him returning down the line before his unfortunate passing.
I hope Brudos Clay can fill that void left by Umaga. Big Show and Henry are both big but they lack speed. Clay seems to have a bit more pep in his step.
I look forward to what Brodus Clay brings to the WWE picture. What do you think of the future of Brodus Clay?
