NFL Week 9 Predictions: Projecting RBs Who Simply Will Not Be Stopped
Can LeSean McCoy, Fred Jackson or Matt Forte be stopped?
At the halfway point of the season, I'd say no.
Forget the total rushing yards of other guys like Maurice Jones-Drew, Arian Foster and Michael Turner.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Some guys get more carries than others.
McCoy, Jackson and Forte all average over 5.4 yards per carry and have almost single-handedly carried their teams this season.
Sure, the Eagles got off to a terrible start, but McCoy has averaged 29 carries in Philly's last two games and coincidentally, the Eagles have won both games while "Shady" has rushed for 185 and 126 yards in those contests.
So will these runners dominate again in Week 9?
What other runners will simply not be stopped this weekend?
(Side note: Adrian Peterson and Darren McFadden are pretty good themselves, but both will not play this weekend.)
To start, I think all three of the aforementioned backs will continue with their torrid years.
Really quick, here's why...
LeSean McCoy is facing a Bears defense that's allowing 5.2 yards per carry. Although their secondary has been a weak-link this season, Andy Reid will get McCoy his carries, leading to another big day.
The Bills will lean on Fred Jackson against the Jets, because of the strength of New York's secondary. Jackson will see near 30 touches and we've seen what he's done when he gets the ball that often this season.
Matt Forte is the life-force of the Bears offense and for Chicago to keep pace with the Eagles, running him and utilizing him on screen plays is their best option. It's that simple.
LeGarrette Blount
I love LeGarrette Blount against the Saints, too.
We saw what Steven Jackson, a running back with comparable size, did last week and although I expect the Saints to come out angry in this one, that won't instantly improve their lackluster run defense.
The Buccaneers need Blount to balance out their offense.
BenJarvus Green-Ellis
This may sound crazy, but running the football may be in the Patriots' best interest. Before you tab back over to Facebook, hear me out. Tom Brady is still the man, and New England's passing attack will always be one of the best in the league as long as No. 12 is behind center.
However, to keep their opponents off the field (the Pats defense is pretty atrocious) Green-Ellis must be given his carries.
Against the Giants, he'll get right around 20 carries and will showcase his tough-running style. Discounting the Dolphins win, Green-Ellis averages nearly 19 carries a game in New England's victories.
We saw what Reggie Bush did against the Giants last week.
Another big game for The Law Firm.
