Terrell Owens Spouts Off Regarding Romo and Witten
While the Cowboys are fighting for their playoff lives, the last thing the team could afford was some stupid high school feud between Terrell Owens and Tony Romo.ย Thatโs exactly what the media is turning the latest T.O. comments into, as there were questions about him being jealous of the relationship between Romo and Jason Witten.
No question that Witten is Romo's favorite, and even on Sunday versus the Steelers Romo looked for his safety blanket in Witten first.ย And donโt forget that it was Witten that misran his route on the game-deciding interception in which Romo was throwing to him to try and get in position for a game-winning field goal.

And again on the teams final offensive play, Witten was Romo's target when the ball fell well incomplete, sealing the team's fate.ย So after a week of regret, itโs now Owens who is coming out and saying that he has nothing against Witten and his relationship with Romo.
โIโm not jealous of Witten,โ Owens told the Dallas Morning News.ย โIโm not jealous of nobody.ย I can take the approach that I got paid so screw everything, but thatโs not me.ย I just want to win.ย Iโm not trying to create a war of words with anybody.ย I thought we had a productive meeting and I just talked to [offensive coordinator] Jason [Garrett] about Tony reading the whole play because other people are open besides Witten.โ
Sounds like there is fuel to the fire when it comes to Owensโ feelings towards Witten and Romo.ย T.O. was visibly upset on the sidelines after the teams last failed series, and now itโs coming out that there is a lot more to the situation than a couple of comments and one show of frustration from Owens.
โThe things that happen in the past with the other quarterbacks that Iโve had made me go to Jason instead,โ Owens said when asked why he went to Garrett with his issues instead of Romo.ย โI didnโt want to have any problems with Tony, so I went to Jason.ย I donโt want people to say if I go to Tony and tell him heโs not doing what heโs supposed to do, then people will say we have a problem.ย I donโt want to create that situation.โ
In the end, itโs typical T.O. to come out with the team in a critical situation as far as the playoffs go and make issues.ย He may not be jealous of Witten and Romo, but the comments seem to point towards a boiling point ready to spill over.
