USC Fans Cheer for PSU's Misfortune

At one point this season, Penn State looked like they were going to play their way into the BCS Championship game. Then this happened...

Whenever a top team gets knocked off in such fashion, fans of other teams are bound to be watching somewhere and soaking in the thrill of the game's result all across the country, especially when it means your team will likely be able to take advantage of the situation.

For example, with the Penn State loss, USC fans saw an opportunity for their team to fight their way back in to the national championship discussion.

It didn't exactly work out in the end for the Trojans, and now they will face the Nittany Lions in the Rose Bowl. Hopefully, Penn State can silence the seemingly home crowd when the teams face each other on the field.

Of course, Michigan went on to beat Penn State later that season. Perhaps what comes around, goes around? Or is it what goes around, comes around?
