Week 9 Fantasy Football Rankings: Projecting Worst Star Performances
So far this season, several stars have not lived up to their advanced billing as far as fantasy numbers go. Two of them are headed for incredibly difficult matchups in Week 9 and they are both guys you should sit in any league you're in.
Seriously, what is wrong with Philip Rivers this season? The Chargers signal-caller has gone from a solid every-week top-five fantasy quarterback to a total disaster.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Rivers swears he's not playing injured. However, after his last few performances, I'm beginning to question whether or not he's being 100 percent honest. The North Carolina State product has shown toughness in playing through injuries before, so I'm really wondering whether or not something is wrong with him.
This weekend, Rivers and the Chargers face the 7-0 Green Bay Packers, who are coming off their bye. Matching up with a rested Green Bay team is not good news for a guy who has thrown just seven touchdowns to 11 interceptions on the season.
Rivers is averaging 297.7 yards per game, but the Chargers haven't been able to convert those yards into points. San Diego has one of the worst red zone percentages in the NFL. After throwing just three touchdown passes against seven interceptions since Week 2, you've got to believe that Rivers will have a tough time against Charles Woodson and the Packers secondary.
If you have a competent backup, sit Rivers this weekend. It's not worth it to keep trotting him out there as he continues to disappoint. Let him prove himself before you use him again.
Chris Johnson
Chris Johnson held out during the preseason, landed a six-year, $55.26 million contract and this is how he's going to play as a response? Really?
Johnson has been downright awful this season, rushing for just 302 yards and one touchdown on 107 carries through seven games. That's an average of just 2.8 yards per carry. The 26-year-old back has also made 27 catches for 160 yards, which gives him a woeful average of 5.9 yards per catch.
Johnson has now lost his status as the primary ball-carrier for the Tennessee Titans, as Javon Ringer will be sharing backfield duties with the three-time Pro Bowler.
The Titans face the Cincinnati Bengals and their second-ranked run defense that is surrendering just 85.4 yards per game in Week 9. There is absolutely no circumstance where you should start Johnson this week. Find another option until he finally proves that he's back to being himself.
