Week 9 Fantasy Football Start Em Sit Em: Why You Must Bench Ryan Fitzpatrick
After signing a five-year, $60 million extension with the Buffalo Bills, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick went out and threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns against the Washington Redskins in Week 8, while completing nearly 78 percent of his passes.
For the season, Fitzpatrick has thrown for over 1,700 yards and 14 touchdowns to seven interceptions.
But don't start Fitzpatrick in Week 9 or you'll be sorry.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here's your Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for the week.
Start 'Em: Tim Tebow, QB, Denver Broncos
For the record, I don't admire Tim Tebow as an NFL quarterback, but I admire him as a fantasy football asset.
Ever since taking over the Broncos' offense, he's made fantasy owners desperate for a quarterback rejoice.
Tebow had 16 points in limited work against the San Diego Chargers, 22 points against the Miami Dolphins and 14 points against a tough defense in the Detroit Lions.
In Week 9, Tebow goes up against an Oakland Raiders defense that is giving up the 12th-most points to quarterbacks in fantasy football. The Raiders don't have a bad secondary, but it has suffered since the loss of cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.
On top of that, the Broncos' offense may be on the field more often because Carson Palmer is still getting back into the rhythm of things for the Raiders.
Not a bad play here, folks.
Sit 'Em: Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Buffalo Bills
I've been a believer in Ryan Fitzpatrick since the beginning of the season, but he's made believers throughout the NFL as the season has progressed.
He's a solid quarterback who has come out of nowhere and given the previously bumbling Bills new life and hope.
But Week 9 isn't the week to start Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick goes up against the New York Jets in Week 9, one of the league's best pass defenses that is giving up the second-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.
It's also worth noting that when he faced a truly formidable secondary against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4, he struggled, passing for 199 yards and no touchdowns.
Sit Fitzpatrick against the Jets.
