Week 9 Start 'Em Sit 'Em: Oakland Raiders and Must-Start Defenses
At this point of the season, we have a pretty good sense of who the good defenses in the NFL are. But for fantasy purposes, the more important thing we know is who the good offenses aren't.
So here, we're not looking at the best defenses. We're looking at ones that you probably don't have on your fantasy team that can step in this week and bring you a lot of points.
These defenses are in favorable matchups. Even if they end up losing their games, it will be in a low-scoring affair and their defenses will still perform well for you.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Kansas City Chiefs
This team is actually turning into a turnover machine. Truthfully, they are not even a bad play against teams that have strong offenses.
The Dolphins do not have a strong offense. Just about any team against them is a good play, and the Chiefs certainly qualify.
I highly doubt that the Dolphins will score many points and they are a virtual lock to turn the ball over a few times.
Oakland Raiders
Anyone who saw Tim Tebow play on Sunday can't have a lot of confidence that this will be much better. No, the Raiders don't have the kind of defense that Detroit has, but I do expect similar results.
The Raiders had a very strong defensive performance against the Broncos in the opener this season. There's really no reason to think that a similar performance isn't in the cards in Oakland.
Tim Tebow has a lot to prove before streaming defenses against him is a bad strategy.
Buffalo Bills
The Jets' offense may not be bad enough to reliably stream against, but the Bills' defense is a potentially huge payoff every week.
They are hard charging and attack the ball, which forces turnovers.
Plaxico Burress did finally emerge in the Jets' last game, but they didn't score too many points. It was an okay day, but hardly good enough to scare away potential owners of their opponents.
Buffalo does have holes on defense, but I don't see the Jets exploiting them in any serious way.
