Fantasy Football Week 9: DeMarco Murray and RBs Who Will Dominate

T.J. McaloonNov 2, 2011

DeMarco Murray exploded onto the fantasy world two weeks ago with a huge game against the St. Louis Rams. Last week he was having a great game, but couldn’t really live up to his potential, because the Dallas Cowboys defense couldn’t stop the Eagles offense, like a sieve can’t stop water.

There are three players that will explode this week, making you a fantasy genius for starting them.

DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys

As you know, DeMarco Murray was the most added player from the wavier wire last week. He lived up to his hype, as he still had a productive day against the Eagles, even if he was not a major part of the offense, because the team was down by so much.

This week, the Cowboys have the Seattle Seahawks, who are ranked 11th against the rush; but, you should still start Murray this week as the Cowboys will look to run the ball as their first option.

If Felix Jones is back for this week’s game, he may cut into DeMarco’s offensive production, but Murray should still see the majority of the carries, as he is the better back right now.

Matt Forte, Chicago Bears

Matt Forte has emerged as the best fantasy football running back this year. Not only is Forte getting it done through his rushing statistics, but he is doubling up his fantasy points with his receiving abilities.

This week, against the Eagles, Forte will have another 20-point fantasy day for his owners. He will be heavily featured in the offense, as he will get another 20-25 carries, with another 6-8 receptions, totaling for 175 yards on offense with two touchdowns.

That’s another monster day from a potential  NFL MVP this year.

Michael Turner, Atlanta Falcons

Michael Turner has been a shining light on a dismal Falcons team, from a fantasy stand point. He has been consistent this season, as he finds ways to find the end zone or gain around 75-100 yards per game.

This week, Turner owners will see him have a huge day against a very bad Indianapolis Colts team.

This Colts team gave up 60 yards on 14 carries last week to Titans backup running back Javon Ringer.

Turner will gain around 135-150 yards with three touchdowns this week. He may just have the biggest fantasy day out of all the running backs this week.

Three running backs that will score between 15-30 points this week. Hopefully you have one of these three backs, and if you really drafted or played the waiver wire well, maybe you have two of these three backs.
