WWE October 2011: Top 10 Moments from the Past Month in WWE

Justin WatryNov 2, 2011

WWE had a great month. When people look back on October 2011, they will remember a few things about the wrestling business. Some may have loved it, while others may have hated it.

Either way, it was never boring. It never had a dull show. The month sped right by, and it was entertaining at every single turn. Here are my top 10 moments from the past month in WWE...

10. Kevin Nash Takes out Triple H

1 of 10

Kevin Nash is back. Triple H is out.

While Nash's return to the company was not shocking, him putting The Game on the shelf certainly was. Last we saw Triple H, he was leaving the arena in an ambulance!

When will he return? How will Nash react? What is going to happen next? Perhaps November or even December will answer those questions.

9. John Morrison Continues to Lose

2 of 10

His free fall just gets worse and worse. I won't post any spoilers here, but make sure to tune into WWE Superstars this week to see him. He has a match this week.

September certainly was not a good month for Morrison and his fanbase. October was even worse for him. At last check, he is still with WWE. In my opinion, he is leaving, so October may have been his last full month with WWE.

8. Sin Cara vs. Sinister Cara

3 of 10

I did not enjoy this feud too much. It was rushed through in no time, and now I have little interest in seeing any more matches between these two.

My feelings aside, this was a pretty cool thing to see. Sin Cara beat Sinister Cara in Mexico in a "Mask" match. How cool was that to see? This will certainly be remembered for years to come, good or bad.

7. Cody Rhodes Is Stepping Up

4 of 10

He is getting there. Cody Rhodes defeating Randy Orton is not happening, nor should it. There is no reason for him to beat Orton yet. That day will come down the road; not now.

He already holds the (new/old?) Intercontinental Championship. What else could he use? How about a couple of great matches on TV? How about more and more promo time? Cody is getting all of these and is on the right track.

No reason to rush anything...

6. Johnny Ace Is Running Raw

5 of 10

This man is great. Do I want him on Raw and Smackdown every week cutting promos? No! Do I want him on every show taking up time? No!

However, he plays a great heel figure running Monday nights. October really was "his" month in breaking out as a great performer to the WWE Universe. I hope his November is even better. Remember, he is only temporarily in charge!

5. Del Rio Is WWE Champion

6 of 10

He won the WWE title for the second time at Heck on a Deck in a triple threat match with John Cena and CM Punk. Then he defeated Cena in a last Man Standing Match at Vengeance.

Alberto Del Rio is now embarking in a feud with Punk that he is surely to wind up on the losing end of at some point. However, October was a big month for Del Rio, and he deserves the mention!

4. The Muppets on Raw!

7 of 10

What more can I say? This was one of the greatest things to ever happen on WWE TV! In all of my over 20 years watching pro wrestling, this ranks right up there near the top.

Sheamus and Beaker? Statler and Waldorf making fun of Michael Cole? It just doesn't get any better than this.

An amazing night of WWE Raw! I will always look back fondly on this Halloween night.

3. WWE Walkout?

8 of 10

This could have been a major moment in WWE history. Sadly, it lasted all of one week. I cannot rate it any higher than No. 3. I don't even think this ranking is correct.

However, you have to be "in the moment" for this one to work. Triple H lost his job because all of the WWE talent were sick of working for him. Thus, they walked out. No more than a week later, Vince McMahon (how and why?) showed up to "fire" Triple H as the head of Monday nights.

CM Punk used to be unhappy on Raw. Miz and R-Truth were running around causing chaos. Everything was out of control.

One week later, it was all over.

2. You Gotta Be Kidding Me!!!

9 of 10

Booker T said it best.

Vengeance 2011 was a great PPV show. It was wonderful from beginning to end, something Wrestle Mania X-7 was not!

The best match of the night belonged to the two biggest men on the show. Imagine that. The moment of the night was a throwback to a similar moment from 2003. WWE waited a full eight years to do this stunt again, so "copying it, repeating it" or any other excuse is thrown out.

Such a great moment. The video I posted above said it better than I ever could. Speaking of better, that brings me to the best thing about October 2011...

1. The Mark Henry Praise Will Not Stop...

10 of 10

Just this week on Raw, we saw the WWE Champion, United States Champion and Tag Team Champions lose clean. I am not even going to name all of the other champions to lose this month.

You want to know which current champion is an absolute monster right now? You want to know the only champion to look dominant for the past month? Say it with me now...

Mark Henry!

While he had a great September 2011, he topped himself in October. Beating Randy Orton at Heck on a Deck was one thing, but now he is taking care of The Big Show! The man can't be stopped, and he deserves all the credit in the world right now.

His character is at an all-time high in interest level, and he is not being pinned or submitted in title matches (and non-title matches). What more could you ask for from this man? He is the best thing on WWE TV today.

He is Mark Henry, and he is NEVER, ever losing the World title!
