2011 PPR Fantasy Football Week 9: Flex-Play Rankings/Projections
Roy Helu vs. 49ers:
I have Roy Helu listed as a bench option this week against the 49ers, but if you're desperate for a flex-play option, give him a shot. The Redskins are likely to play from behind this week, and while Helu wasn’t running the football, he consistently got to running back in the passing game. Washington has already announced that Tashard Choice won’t suit up this week, and I have a feeling that Shanahan has grown tired of Ryan Torain at this point.
This could lead to Helu seeing an opportunity to be the starter, as it’s likely that Shanahan wants to see him as the starter at some point. Heck, you can even hold on to one Redskins running back and, as bad as things may seem one week, eventually he can return to the good graces of Shanahan.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Again, only use Helu if you're desperate. In a PPR league, he can give you critical reception points and may see more activity as the Redskins say in passing situations in the second half.
Kevin Faulk vs. Giants:
In his first play in over a year, Kevin Faulk was the top running back in the Patriots' game plan, seeing considerable work in the passing game and helping to carry the load. Danny Woodhead basically took over Faulk’s job last year and was worth a flex play start in PPR leagues.
While Faulk won’t be a weekly start, he can help you through the bye weeks and has a decent matchup to take advantage of this week against the Giants.
Eric Decker at Raiders:
Yes, Tim Tebow has a lot to learn before he’s ready to be a respectable starting quarterback in the NFL, but at least he’s looking for Eric Decker in the passing game.
Decker was targeted over 10 times against the Lions and made a few nice moves on his touchdown score from 14 yards out. The Broncos may not be blown out this week, but they will likely be playing from behind in the fourth quarter (and will likely play from behind in most weeks).
Decker should remain a decent flex play to WR-3 start going forward, as I believe he will remain one of Tebow’s (or Kyle Orton's) top targets in the passing game.
