Kim Kardashian Divorce: 1-Year Anniversary as Bad as It Gets for Kim and Kris

The traditional one-year anniversary gift for your significant other is usually paper. You know, a book, concert tickets, stationary, etc. Kim Kardashian decided to take that to a whole new level.

Yesterday, she decided to give the gift of divorce papers to soon-to-be ex-husband Kris Humphries. 

According to TMZ, yesterday's divorce came exactly one year after Kim and Kris met for the first time.

"October 31 isn't just the day Kim Kardashian filed for divorce," says the report. "It's the same date that Kim met Kris Humphries for the very first time at a New Jersey Nets basketball game back in 2010."

In case you thought the last day of October was only a time for dressing up, carving pumpkins, eating candy and other tom-foolery, well, you were probably right. But no longer. It will now go down in history as the day Kim-Kris both started and ended. This is very exciting news indeed. 

On another note, this shouldn't be seen as such a sad ending. It should probably be seen as a milestone. If you had the "over" on eleven months and 30 days in the "How Long Will This Relationship Last" contest, you probably made a large chunk of money.

No one could have been expecting those two to make it that far. Congrats to Kris for holding on for so long. 

I mean, the relationship started off on a great note according to TMZ.

"Kim was sitting court side at the Izod Center in NJ when she noticed the 6'9" power forward running up and down the court ... and thought he was 'cute.'"

Oh, she thought he was cute? And they didn't get married sooner? Sounds like love to me.

But seriously, is she crazy? Have you seen Kris Humphries? He is certainly no Brad Pitt. 

For those of you worried about how Kim will get through this, don't worry. I'm sure she'll find someone else just as "cute" as Kris Humphries and live happily ever after.

Or, at least, she'll live happily for a year before she greets him with the one-year gift of divorce.
