Week 9 Waiver Wire: 5 Injury Replacements You Might Want to Grab
Injury: RB Peyton Hillis/Montario Hardesty, Browns
Hillis continues to have problems with a hamstring injury and is questionable for Sunday's game. Hardesty tore his calf muscle and should be out some time.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
With both Hillis and Hardesty out, Ogbonnaya got the lion's share of carries against the 49ers. Both look like certain scratches again this weekend, so Ogbonnaya will get the chance to start. With touches always comes potential.
Injury: RB Ryan Mathews, Chargers
Mathews injured his hamstring during the Chargers' overtime loss to the Chiefs on Monday night.
Replacement: WR Jonathan Baldwin, Chiefs
The Chargers' running back situation is a mess, as Mathews is likely out and Curtis Brinkley, who played well in Mathews' absence Monday night, suffered a concussion and might not play. Mike Tolbert will return, but he's on a roster in most leagues. You'll have to go outside the team and position to find an adequate replacement. Baldwin has the potential to explode over the second half of the season.
Injury: RB Jahvid Best, Lions
Best is still fighting off a concussion. His return to active duty is unknown.
Replacement: RB Maurice Morris, Lions
The uncertainty of Best is worrying moving forward, but Morris has been productive filling in. He scored and ran for over 50 yards against the Broncos on Sunday, and that's the kind of day you can expect from Morris as the fill-in starter.
Injury: QB Kevin Kolb, Cardinals
Kolb suffered a foot injury against the Ravens and might miss the Cardinals' next game versus the Rams.
Replacement: QB Carson Palmer, Raiders
Even if Kolb is good to go on Sunday, this might be a switch you want to make. While Palmer certainly looked terrible in his first go with the Raiders, another week in the system should do him wonders. A trip from the woeful Broncos should help, too.
Injury: TE Fred Davis, Redskins
Davis has a high ankle sprain and was in a walking boot following the Redskins' loss to the Bills.
Replacement: TE Brent Celek, Eagles
Another offensive weapon down in Washington? It looks like it, at least for this week. If you need a replacement for Davis, stay in the division and scoop up Celek, who has caught fire over the past two weeks. If the Eagles keep him a big part of the offense—and they should—Celek's numbers will be starting-caliber.
