WWE News: What's Next for the Feud Between Kevin Nash and Triple H?

Drake OzNov 1, 2011

Last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw actually didn’t revolve the ongoing rivalry between Triple H and Kevin Nash for once, but we did get an update on the status of both men.

Nearly two hours into the show, Michael Cole informed us that Triple H suffered a concussion and “fractured vertebrae” thanks to Nash’s attack on last week’s Raw, and Jerry Lawler then let us know that Raw interim general manager John Lauriniaitis had signed Nash to a contract.

I guess Triple H got his wish, huh?

Anyway, let me start by saying that I’m glad the creative team only spent a few minutes on this Nash/Triple H storyline rather than letting it dominate the show. We got the point of what was going on, but we didn’t have to waste 30 minutes to get there. So good job, WWE.

That being said, where does the WWE go from here with this angle? Will Nash and Triple H still have a match at Survivor Series like expected?

I think so.

To me, the reason behind Nash’s attack on Triple H was simple.

It will give the WWE an excuse when the match between these two stinks up the pay-per-view.

Nash isn’t going to be able to put on a great match at this stage of his career, and Triple H won’t be able to carry him to one. Therefore, having an “injured” Triple H face Nash will explain why the match isn’t very good.

But that won’t be the only way that the WWE tries to cover this impending mess up. No way.

You can bank on these two facing off in some sort of gimmick match—a No Holds Barred, No Disqualification match, etc.—so that the amount of wrestling is limited.

Triple H will likely return at Survivor Series, and his match with Nash will be a pure brawl.
