NFL Power Rankings Week 9: Latest on the Andrew Luck Lottery
While Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck spent his Sunday recovering from an epic 56-48 triple-overtime win against USC, two teams continued to battle it out for the right to draft him in April. The Indianapolis Colts and Miami Dolphins both dropped their Week 8 games to remain winless on the season.
For the second week in a row the Dolphins (0-7) snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, blowing a 17-10 fourth-quarter lead over the New York Giants en route to a 20-17 loss. With Matt Moore at quarterback we can pretty much that the Dolphins to remain terrible for the rest of the season despite the fact that Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas have given life to the running game.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Miami's biggest problem is that it simply can't put points on the board, as it is averaging just 15.3 points per game. Given that the Dolphins have a coach in Tony Sparano, who won't be around much longer, a stud receiver in Brandon Marshall, who is legitimately insane, and nothing at the quarterback position, it's safe to say they are the NFL's worst team.
The Colts are the only squad really battling Miami for the right to draft Luck. Indianapolis dropped to 0-8 on Sunday after getting pasted 27-10 by the Tennessee Titans and continued to look awful while losing.
The once-prolific Colts offense is gaining just 294.9 yards per game, which ranks 30th in the NFL right now. On top of that, Indianapolis also has the league's 31st-ranked defense, surrendering a whopping 402.9 yards per game.
Right now things are just a mess in Indianapolis. The Colts are stuck with Curtis Painter at quarterback and have no idea if injured quarterback Peyton Manning will ever be back to playing at 100 percent again.
The Colts have shown absolutely no life without their star quarterback this season and there is a very good chance Indianapolis will end up with the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft.
