Constructing the Worst Ultimate Fighter

Jeffrey McKinneyOct 31, 2011

Since debuting in 2005, The Ultimate Fighter has had a huge impact on MMA

The show has produced many stars including former UFC champions Forrest Griffin and Rashad Evans.

It has also led to many memorable fights for coaches and participants alike, and it has had its fair share of bad moments and terrible fighters.

Here's a look at what it would take to make the worst Ultimate Fighter competitor ever.

The Weight-Cutting Abilities of Gabe Ruediger

1 of 6

TUF Season 4 winner Travis Lutter infamously missed weight in his title fight with Anderson Silva

Just one season later Gabe Ruediger would top him. Ruediger ate junk food, didn't train hard and passed out naked after trying to cut weight.

Cutting a big amount of weight in a short time is not easy or fun. But these guys know what they're getting themselves into when they get on the show.

Making weight is part of their jobs and cutting it properly is the best thing for their health.

The Voice and Arrogance of Michael Bisping

2 of 6

Michael Bisping is one of the most annoying fighters in MMA history.

His British accent is so hard to understand at times that they need to give him subtitles.

Add the fact that he hardly ever shuts up, is contradictory, and is perhaps the biggest sore winner in the show's history, then you'll see why many fans could not wait for him to get knocked out by Dan Henderson at UFC 100.

Roy Nelson's Physique

3 of 6

Roy Nelson was the winner of The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights. He was more experienced than the other fighters and sported a belly that matched it.

During some of his fights, Nelson lay on his opponents and just pounded away until the ref stopped it.

Having a big belly worked for his advantage, but nobody wanted to see it.

Must-See Fights After UFC 329

Junie Browning's Personality

4 of 6

There have been many crazy guys that end up on TUF.

None may be crazier than Junie Browning. Browning drank, threw glass at other castmates and pissed off just about everybody in the house.

He was twice given a warning on the show due to his actions.

Kimbo Slice's Hype, Experience and Training Background

5 of 6

Coming into TUF with some hype may not be that bad. But when you have as much hype as Kimbo Slice, you better perform.

Slice proved that he may be nothing more than a glorified street fighter.

With the entire season basically built up around him, Slice lost his first fight on the show to Roy Nelson.

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson as a Coach

6 of 6

Rampage is a fighter, not a coach. These are the man's own words.

Rampage did poorly both times he coached on the show.

The second time he focused more on trash talking with Rashad Evans, getting into it with other fighters and basically hanging on to Kimbo Slice as much as possible instead of giving tips to better fighters.

Rampage is one heck of a fighter, but a horrible coach.
