BCS Rankings: Texas and More Top 25 Teams That Are Headed Towards a Loss

Texas' defense is about to get shredded and abused by Texas Tech. This loss will knock them out of the top 25.

The good news for Texas is that they will not be alone. They will have top 25 company in loserville

No. 9 South Carolina at No. 7 Arkansas

Loser: South Carolina

South Carolina is playing fantastically on defense. They are a mess on offense though. Things got even worse when they lost RB Marcus Lattimore to injury.

They are going to have a hard time moving the ball this week.

Arkansas is a solid 33rd in the nation in points allowed per game. They will be able to easily defend the Gamecocks offense, and they have enough firepower on offense that they will be able to put up enough points on a stiff South Carolina defense.

Prediction: Arkansas 24, South Carolina 17

No. 15 Michigan at Iowa

Loser: Michigan

Iowa has a very solid rush defense. They are allowing a very solid 3.87 yards per carry.

As Michigan State can tell you, this is the foundation for success against Michigan. If you take away their run game they can't beat you with the pass. This is what Iowa will do.

Iowa's offense has been inconsistent, and they will need to play well against a tough Michigan defense. But I expect a bounceback performance after an embarrassing loss to Minnesota.

Prediction: Iowa 20, Michigan 17

Texas Tech at No. 21 Texas

Loser: Texas

Texas Tech followed their huge upset win with their worst performance of the year. They only scored seven points in a loss to Iowa State. This was the first time they had been held under 30.

I expect them to get back on track this week.

Texas has struggled against high powered passing offenses. They allowed 55 points to Oklahoma and 38 points to Oklahoma State.

They will suffer similar results in this one.

Prediction: Texas Tech 34, Texas 27
