Hope Solo's Future on Dancing with the Stars Comes Down to Mad Maks' Toe
Hope Solo has to maneuver between barking judges, the demands of the national team and now a broken toe from her dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
The two will once again take the stage on Dancing with the Stars Monday night. There is no doubt that the two need a powerful and precise performance this week.
The two have been stagnant in their form and the judges are becoming ever more frustrated with their performances.
That frustration has rubbed off on the voting public, as Hope Solo was nearly voted off last week. That may not be the bottom of the barrel for the two. This week Solo will be demanded to train with the national team as they prepare for an upcoming friendly against Sweden.
The duo were hit with some bad news of sorts. Chmerkovskiy tweeted this post as we headed into the weekend. As you can see, there is a good amount of ominous feeling surrounded the chances of Solo to move on now.
However, the dancer has since tweeted the following. Perhaps the two will be ready to shine on the main stage after all.
Solo will have to be the star if her partner is indeed hobbled. That may a bit too much for one person to take on. She has responsibilities with the national team that she can't skirt and a trio of judges that want to see her live out the promise she has shown as a dancer.
You only have to see last week's effort to know that Solo is but an inch away from taking over DWTS. She is still robotic at times and only need let go to show what she can do.
If that happens it will be a real miracle as she wages through a myriad of obstacles to win it all this season. By the end, we may have to agree that she is indeed Wonder Woman.
