Bone Devendorf -N- Harmony: Examing Syracuse's Eric Devendorf's Thuggish Ways

How come it seems like whenever I travel, some SU player gets involved with foolery, legal issues, or decides to post risqué photos of himself online?

Our resident thug is going to have a long Holiday season thinking about what "Could Have Been" this year for SU Basketball. I have always pondered what being a "Thug" is like. But Urban Dictionary, truly the most prolific source of defined material outside of Wikipedia, defines what a true thug really is...

To be a true thug doesn't mean wearing "bling", listening to rap and talking "black." Being a gangsta isn't superficial. To be a true thug means you haven't had it good your whole life, and you intend to change that and get out of the ghetto if that's where you are. You do what's right, you don't take sh*t from anyone, and stand up for your friends and don't let them take sh*t from anyone!

You don't have to be a stereotypical "gangsta" to be a thug—a skater can be a thug, a nerd can be a thug, a hick can be a thug, a prep can be a thug, and old ass man can be a thug! So forget your stupid f-ing stereotypes and thinking that everybody has to fit into one group, and be labeled. And I'll tell you what...damn it feels good to be a gangster!

No doubt to that...

We all know Devo is thuggish, but he is our own Syracuse Thug. The question is, would you want Devo to date your daughter, sister, or friend? Probably not, right?

Would you want him to participate on your favorite college basketball team? Absolutely. Would you want to sit out on a front porch listening to Common and play dice with him? Yep. Would you like to swig a 40-oz. of Olde English prior hittin' da club? Yes please.

Our resident Soulja Boy has been pulling these moves ever since he arrived here at campus. All the things Devo has said and done that have not been reported on is a list that is as long as three-point range. The Bay City Bomber obviously has some issues that he needs to settle.

Would it actually shock you to find out that Eric shot himself in the leg at a nightclub? Didn't think so.

Boeheim definitely has a laundry list of players lately with some questionable integrity. I don't really care, as long as Syracuse wins. I don't care if Syracuse goes all Oakland Raiders or Ohio State. Just keep the authorities away and don't bring this sh*t up on yourselves.
