Kim Kardashian Wedding: Reggie Bush Chooses Good Time to Re-Enter Kim K's Life

I don't recall what the over/under was for how long the marriage between Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian would last, but I'm pretty sure that even those who picked the under didn't think it would only last a mere 72 days.

In case you're just now joining us, I'm afraid it's true. As TMZ reported this morning, Kim K has filed for divorce from Humphries. The papers claim that she and the NBA free agent forward had "irreconcilable differences."

Kim K filed the papers Monday morning, presumably after a weekend that contained your typical Kim Kardashian activities.

Like, for example, spending an afternoon with old fling Reggie Bush.

At least, such is the word from MediaTakeOut.com, which claims that Kim K and Bush met up in New York on Saturday for some super-expensive sushi.

Naturally, you do have to consider the source, which in this case is a person close to Bush. That being said, the pieces do fit. Kim K has been known to frequent New York and Bush and the Miami Dolphins were in town to take on the New York Giants. The idea of them meeting up isn't all that far-fetched. In fact, it's downright reasonable.

By the way, Humphries was supposedly in Minnesota visiting with his family.

Bush, for the record, would go on to rush for over 100 yards against the Giants, prompting this hilarious tweet:

Ah yes, this is clearly time for conspiracy theory talk. Perhaps there was more to Saturday's rendezvous than an oddly romantic lunch between ex-lovers.

Actually, that's probably exactly what it was, but the timing of it is definitely convenient. If I may be so bold as to speculate, it's almost like Kim K saw the writing was on the wall, said, "Screw it," and then picked up the phone.

As for Bush, shoot, why the heck wouldn't he say yes? And right about now, you honestly have to wonder if maybe this is an old flame he'll try to re-kindle. After all, where there's smoke, there's fire. Isn't that what they say?

Goodness, I hope it doesn't actually come to this. As long as Kim K is involved with athletes, her love life is technically a sports story. And to be honest, I'm way beyond being tired of it. Now that she is getting a divorce, my hope is that she'll go hook up with an actor or something.
