Week 9 Waiver Wire: Javon Ringer and Others You Must Add

Chris TrapassoOct 31, 2011

Injuries to key offensive players have continued to pile up this season and all fantasy owners are dealing with byes until Week 12.

There are plenty of players worth scouring the waiver wire to add to your roster, but you've got to act fast.

With the Lions, Vikings and Panthers all off in Week 9, chances are you will be without some of your most productive players.

Grab these guys:

Javon Ringer

Both Ringer and Chris Johnson received 14 carries in the Titans' win over the Colts on Sunday. Based on the lack of motivation we've seen from him this season, it's not surprising that Johnson ended the game with fewer yards than his inexpensive counterpart.

Ringer totaled 60 yards on the ground while Johnson had a mere 34 yards.

Ringer had five catches for 42 yards as well, which added to a very successful fantasy day for the former Michigan State Spartan.

Tennessee's front office must be just a little bit frustrated now, don't you think?

I'd be shocked to see them remove Ringer from their running back role, because frankly, he's been the far more efficient runner this season.

They face one of the better run defenses next week when they get the Bengals at home, but if any Titans running back is going to get you points, you've got to bet it'll be Ringer.

Ed Dickson

Who knows what we're going to get from Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense each week?

Well, I know one thing.

Ed Dickson will be targeted, and targeted often. He had six catches for 46 yards and realistically is the third receiving option on the team behind Anquan Boldin and Ray Rice.

Flacco has thrown his way 49 times this year.

As the offense looks to evolve as the season goes on, Dickson's numbers have a great possibility of getting better.

Laurent Robinson

With opposing teams' top corners draping Miles Austin and Dez Bryant, Laurent Robinson is taking advantage of the nickel coverage men he's facing.

He caught five passes for 103 yards against the Eagles on Sunday and improvised with Romo out of the pocket on his touchdown.

That is a very important ability for receivers to possess, especially with a scrambling quarterback like Romo.

At 6'2'', he's a big target and has made a handful of big plays for the Cowboys this year.

An ideal WR No. 3 if you've got players on the bye or are decimated with injuries.
