Get Inside the League

Darren HeitnerDec 11, 2008

Dating back to Mar. 8, 2008, a commentator by the name of Insidetheleague.com has been leaving some very insightful comments on this blog. From his comments, it seemed like nstratton@insidetheleague.com (Neil Stratton, President of Inside the League and Executive Director of the ‘08 Hula Bowl) was very well connected in the sports industry.

He also mentioned that his site had a wealth of information, but that it is a pay site. Pay for a site? Who would do that in today’s world of free blogs? That was my thinking until my buddy Christopher McComas hooked me up with Neil, and he took me into the depths of his baby, Inside The League.

So, I ended up not paying, but now that I see what is offered, I probably should have been paying for a long time. If you are a football agent, this is a must.

For example, let’s look at yesterday alone. Neil uploaded a morning and an afternoon report. The morning post tells readers that the Hula Bowl is dead, Hawaii DC Ryan Mouton and DT David Veikune, along with a couple of Canadian players, have been invited to the Texas vs. The Nation Challenge, Oregon’s OC Max Unger and OH Jeremiah Johnson are going to the Senior Bowl, and Louisiana-Monroe TE Zeek Zacharie is signing with Dallas-based Elias Sports Agency.

The afternoon report tells you what I already have unfortunately already relayed: the AFL is most likely going to take a break from the TV set this season. Additionally, Neil breaks news that SportStars and Priority Sports have signed a client for the 2009 NFL Draft.

This is an NFLPA advisor’s dream. The site has inside information on players signing with agencies and which athletes will be invited to the All-Star games. This way, you do not have to make the awkward phone call to a recruit who has already signed with another agent!

Also, you want to be recruiting guys who have invites to the big games. Check out the site. Maybe Neil will even let you try it out for free. Tell him I sent you.
