NFL: How Should the Denver Broncos Use Tim Tebow?
Tebow this, Tebow that... Tebow is my hero, I can't stand Tebow, blah blah blah. I like the guy, but nobody is more sick of hearing about him than I am.
Tim Tebow is a captivating personality on and off the field. I think the guy is great and will be successful, but only if used right. Using him as a full-time quarterback as he was at Florida will not work in the NFL. He is a great asset to the team, a leader with intangibles that cannot be coached. Finding a successful way to use him will be key in deciding his NFL future.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
For a big guy, Tebow can run the ball very well. Last year Tebow only played in nine games and he averaged 5.3 yards per rush... as a quarterback! Out of 43 rushing attempts, six of them were touchdowns. This year, his average is almost the same on 26 attempts. He's tough, physical, and hard to bring down. Run him down the opponents throats, and run him near the goal line.
At 6'3" and 236lbs, Tebow has the make up to be a great blocker. We've seen him to do it before, why couldn't we see him be successful at it again? Tebow is physical at the point of contact, and has an aggressive follow through. What technique he lacks can be coached.
We have seen Tebow line up as a receiver in the NFL. Now whether that was to throw off the opposing team's defense or actually present Tebow as an optional target for the quarterback, we will never know. What we do know is Tebow is a fantastic athlete. I have a hard time believing that he wouldn't do well at fielding short field passes. That being said, I have no proof of that idea, just my personal opinion that he is capable of fulfilling that role.
So, what position in football calls for a player to run, block, and catch the football well? A position for let's say a jack of all trades type. Perhaps a tight end? Sounds about right. I believe the Denver Broncos should utilize Tebow as a tight end with special direct snap packages at the goal line.
His presence on the team creates fan fare that will sell a lot of jerseys and merchandise as well as put the team in a media spotlight. There are a lot of positives to come from having a player like Tim Tebow on your team, so long as you use him to the best of his athletic talents. That, my friends, is not as a full-time NFL quarterback.
The real question is, how long will it take for them to figure this out?
