Fantasy Impact
Losing Davis would be crushing for one owner in virtually every single fantasy league. He is one of the top five tight ends in the NFL, and has been Alex Smith’s top target. He had 271 yards and three touchdowns going into Week 8. Davis already caught two passes for 26 yards before exiting the game.
If Davis misses any sort of significant time it’s going to be crushing for thousands of fantasy owners.
Devastation Scale: 8
The 49ers don’t exactly have a lot of receiving options to begin with; without Davis the pass offense is going to really struggle—especially around the red zone.
Timeline For Return
After missing a series, it looks like Davis’ injury isn’t a big deal:
Davis is back on the field and looks like the arm injury isn’t bothering him.
49er and fantasy owners can take a collective sigh of relief...for now. We'll keep you updated on his status as the game progresses.
