Cam Newton Continues to Dazzle, How Many MVP Awards Will Superstar QB Capture?
Cam Newton is going to be the greatest football player in the history of creation. ...Okay, that might be taking things a little far, but given the success he has had in his rookie season, it is easy to jump to big conclusions.
I am confident that Newton will win at least one MVP award before he is done, but possibly several. Here's why.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Take a look at Newton's game stats from his rookie season.
Newton is on a record-setting rookie pace for production.
His numbers are so impressive that he is putting himself in rare territory in more than just the rookie record books.
Initial Expectations
To get a full feel for just how impressive Newton's rookie campaign has been, it is important to remember where he came from. Here is a pre-draft analysis of Newton by Bleacher Report's own Dave Razzano:
I don't highlight this video to pick on Dave; this was a common belief held by countless people assessing the draft. And for good reason.
Newton came from a spread offense where he didn't have to make reads and he relied on his legs. This is not a recipe for success—especially initially.
Even Newton supporters assumed he would struggle initially as he grasped the complexities and speed of the NFL.
Revised Expectations
Combine Newton's performance with how much he had to learn as a rookie, and I come to some amazing conclusions about Newton's future.
Newton has had no problem being a pocket passer, while still maintaining his threat to run. You can see that in his highlights.
No run-first QB has ever done this so quickly, and none of these QBs had the body mass of Newton, which should be able to help him stay healthy with the wear-and-tear of a season.
This guy is going to dominate the NFL for years to come. At this point, I am not even sure the following is a costume.
It is just who he is.
