Why Michael Vick Will Never Bring Eagles a Super Bowl

Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles are 2-4 this season.  The Dream Team has turned into a nightmare, and it's time we faced facts: Vick will never win a Super Bowl.

Super Bowl quarterbacks are consistent and clutch.  If you are a sporadic quarterback then you can't win in the playoffs, and there's no way you can win a Super Bowl.

Of the last eight Super Bowl winners the only sporadic quarterback was Eli Manning of the New York Giants in 2008, and they won that game 17-14 with Manning being named the Super Bowl MVP.

You can't win a Super Bowl if your quarterback doesn't perform well.  That fact has been shown over and over, and is exemplified by the fact that 24 of 45 Super Bowl MVPs have been quarterbacks.

Vick is not consistently leading his team, and there are stretches of games that he just disappears during.  If he can't fix that then he will never win a Super Bowl.

The reason Vick has been so inconsistent is the fact that he is constantly getting hurt.  He is always in and out of the lineup because he constantly puts his body on line.  However, unlike Cam Newton who is 6'5" 250 pounds and can afford to do that, Vick is only 6'0" 215 pounds.

Vick can't afford to get hit a lot, but because he runs and extends plays, he gets hit often.  He also gets hit harder than most quarterbacks and he doesn't draw penalties because refs think that he is mobile enough to protect himself.

We've seen Vick take shots that would constitute unnecessary roughness or roughing the passer, but they are not called because refs think of him as a runner.

Because Vick plays the way he does, he is injured often, including two different injuries this season, and he's only played six games.

Vick is not going to be a Super Bowl quarterback, and he will never get the ring that he so badly wants.
