Manny Pacquiao: Pac-Man Will End All Doubt with KO Win over Marquez

Mick AkersOct 30, 2011

With major controversy following both of the two previous fights between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, Pacquiao will look to silence his critics with a knockout win over Marquez in their rubber match.

Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38 KOs) will be stronger than he was in the previous two fights that took place at the featherweight and super featherweight divisions.

Pac-Man is more comfortable at welterweight now, as Marquez (53-5-1, 39 KOs) is making a jump up in weight for the fight and will feel the power difference of Pacquiao as the fight gets into the middle rounds.

Look for Pacquiao to attack Marquez' body early and often, that will slow him down later in the fight, opening him up for power shots and knockout chances in the mid-to-late rounds.

Marquez will look decent in the early rounds, but once those body shots start kicking in, it will be as good as over.

Look for Pacquiao to KO Marquez somewhere in the 8-10-round area, making a huge statement in the process.

With a convincing win, Pacquiao will answer one of two pressing questions that have followed him over the past few years by showing he can beat Marquez handily.

With most people thinking that Marquez won their first bout (which was a draw), and should have earned a draw in their second fight where Marquez loss a split decision, this will show Pacquiao's doubters that Marquez is not his weakness in the ring,

Once Pacquiao takes care of business here, the Floyd Mayweather questions will again pop up even though promoter Bob Arum said at a press conference for the Pacquiao-Marquez fight that the mega-fight would never happen.

So Pacquiao will silence his critics for at least one night, and will have to hear them chime in soon after on just why the dream fight with Mayweather is not going to be a reality.
