Blaine Gabbert Injury: Update on Jaguars Star's Rib Injury
The Jacksonville Jaguars already have a lot to worry about without injuries. Unfortunately, they have more to worry about now.
Rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert was hit Sunday by Houston Texans safety Glover Quin and linebacker Brian Cushing on a first down scramble. He left the game with what they described as a "rib injury."

None. If you were staring Gabbert then you were already in trouble. The only players this injury affects are running back Maurice Jones-Drew and wide receivers Mike Thomas and Jason Hill.

Who's the Backup?
ESPN's John Clayton let us know that Luke McCown was taking over in Gabbert's stead.
He was the starter in Week 1 and led the Jaguars to a victory over the Titans. A few weeks later, he was was benched for Gabbert and we'll see why as the game progresses.

Five. Things really can't get too much worse for Jacksonville unless we're talking about long-term repercussions.
The rookie quarterback was not much of a factor in the team's surprise win over the Ravens last week, and he's looked every bit a rookie during this season.
The biggest problem for Jacksonville now is that they simply have a backup quarterback that needs to go in the game.
