NFL Predictions Week 8: New England Patriots and Teams That Are a Lock to Cover

It’s Sunday morning, and that means it is time to get your last-minute NFL wagers in before the games start in a few hours.

The lines are moving like crazy right now as action continues to pour in, but if you wait for the right moment, you’ll be able to grab these locks at the lines I have listed here, via ScoresAndOdds.com.

Let’s take a look at three teams that are absolute locks to cover and will get you paid at the end of the day.

New England Patriots (-2.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers

Tom Brady has the Pittsburgh Steelers' number, and the results today will be no different than what we have come to expect.

These teams last played in November of last year. The Pats came out on top by 13 points on the road, and they were a four-point underdog to boot.

As a 2.5-point favorite, I expect New England to cover by at least a touchdown at the minimum and really put a hurting on this older and slower Steelers defense that never matched up well against the prolific passing offense of the Patriots.

Buffalo Bills (-4.5) vs. Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins are the most overrated 3-3 team in the NFL.

They knocked out a Giants team that plays to their opponents level in Week 1, and people started to think they were legitimate.

They have a one-point win over the Cardinals and a seven-point victory over the St. Louis Rams, both of which are terrible teams.

Washington is also in the midst of a two-game slide, with losses to the Eagles and Panthers during that time period.

I don’t trust them whatsoever to cover against the Bills today. Buffalo is motivated and coming off a bye and should easily win this game big.

Carolina Panthers (-3.5) vs. Minnesota Vikings

Cam Newton has only failed to cover two spreads this entire season.

Both were on the road, and one was in his first NFL start.

I’m not going to think about stopping wagering on this kid, as he is a cover machine at home.

Until Newton fails to lead his team to victories and covers, you would be insane to bet against the Panthers when they play in Carolina.
