NFL Predictions Week 8: Michael Vick and More QBs That Will Post Stellar Stats

Andrew KulhaOct 30, 2011

While the NFL is certainly all about wins and losses, there is no doubt that watching a single player put up some ridiculous statistics is always a good time.

Watching a running back go for over 150 yards, watching a receiver post up three touchdowns and of course, watching a quarterback fill up the stat sheet.

In fact, there is potentially nothing more mesmerizing than watching a quarterback tear up the stat sheet with some incredible numbers.

This week, there are more than a few quarterbacks capable of lighting the field on fire with their arms, legs or both.

Here are my predictions for the best statistical quarterbacks of Week 8:

Michael Vick, Philadelphia Eagles

Vick is due for a vintage game, as most of this year, he has been injured or has just been shut down. The Cowboys have a good defense, but I don't think they are going to be able to shut down Vick.

He's due for a big game, and he's got a big stage to play on in Monday Night Football.

Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees is going to have a great two weeks. Last weekend, he had the fortune of going against the lowly Indianapolis Colts, and this week, he's going against the win-less and Sam Bradford-less St. Louis Rams.

The only thing that could potentially stop Brees from scoring big is if the Saints pull him late in the game.

Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals

I'm really liking Dalton's matchup with the Seattle Seahawks this weekend. They are missing two of their top three cornerbacks for this game, and the Seahawks defense was pretty weak even at full strength.

I expect Dalton to find budding star A.J. Green for a few big plays and a couple scores.
