NFL Picks Week 8: Cowboys vs. Eagles and More Games That Will Surpass the Over

Week 8 of the 2011 is sure to be jam-packed with a lot of games that will feature a ton of scoring.

Whether it's a game that features two prolific offenses, or one really good team against a very good defense.

There are just far too many matchups that cater to a ton of points being scored.

What that means for people wagering on these games is that the over/under is going to be a very good play in Week 8

Here are a few over/unders that you need to take the over on:

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans, Over/Under: 41

We saw that Jacksonville can actually do something on offense led by quarterback Blaine Gabbert, and he did so against the Baltimore Ravens defense.

Arian Foster had a breakout game last week against Tennessee, and I think he's going to continue his hot running. 

Those two factors alone should get this game over the relatively low 41.

Detroit Lions vs. Denver Broncos, Over/Under 41.5

The simple truth of the matter is that the Lions offense can cover this by themselves, even with a hurt Matthew Stafford. I expect the Lions to put up a lot of points, and if Denver wants to keep up they are going to have to score too. This should be an easy cover.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles, 48.5

This could go either way, but I have to assume Michael Vick is due for a big game. The Cowboys can put up points, and Tony Romo could probably add a few to the Eagles' defensive total as well. Overall, I think we're looking at a high scoring game here.
